Co-release
'Vibe' also gets an 'A' certificate
Kunal Kemmu's directorial Vibe has also been granted an 'A' certificate by the CBFC.
The film, which stars Preity G Zinta and Sparsh Shrivastava, has a runtime of 145.55 minutes.
An industry insider told the outlet, "Daayra's A rating is understandable as the film deals with a theme that is suitable for adult and mature audiences. However, Vibe looks like a fun entertainer...hence, its adult certification will come as a surprise for many."
Vibe will also premiere on September 18.
Clash
Kemmu on the clash between two movies
Kemmu recently opened up about the clash between Vibe and Daayra.
He told India Today, "Ideally, I don't think anybody wants to end up in a place where both films are [clashing]."
"Besides the fact that these are two different genre films, and there is an audience for both, I think there is an audience that might not watch either. I don't think it's dividing the audience."
Vibe also stars Vanshika Dhir, Yashpal Sharma, and Dinesh Lal Yadav.
