Karthi's 'Vaa Vaathiyaar' release blocked by Supreme Court
Entertainment
Karthi's much-awaited action-comedy, Vaa Vaathiyaar, has been put on hold.
The Supreme Court backed a Madras High Court order stopping the film's December 2025 release because producer KE Gnanavel Raja still owes over ₹21 crore to K Arjunlal Sunderdas.
Until this debt is cleared, the movie—also starring Krithi Shetty and Rajkiran—can't hit theaters.
Where can you watch it?
Right now, nowhere.
Even though the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film were acquired by Amazon Prime Video, the legal block means Vaa Vaathiyaar can't be released in theaters or online until things are sorted out.
