Katy Perry says Meghan Markle's royal wedding dress was 'ill-fitted'
While the entire world is still getting over Meghan Markle's wedding look, pop-singer Katy Perry has said that the Duchess of Sussex's Givenchy gown was 'ill-fitted'. "I would have done one more fitting," said Perry when asked for her take on Meghan Markle's costume from British artistic director, Clare Waight Keller.
Perry is apparently a fashion critic now!
Perry, who is currently judging the singing reality show 'American Idol', said, "I'm never not going to tell the truth! One more fitting, but I love you." She added that she preferred Kate Middleton's 2011 Alexander McQueen wedding gown over Meghan Markle's. "Kate, Kate, Kate won, Kate won!" she said.
The Duchess's wedding gown was kept a closely-guarded secret
It was made sure that the pure white, boat neck gown was not revealed till the very last moment. Meghan Markle chose to work with the Birmingham-born designer as she was impressed by her "timeless and elegant aesthetic, impeccable tailoring, and relaxed demeanor".
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's was a fairy-tale wedding
The royal couple tied the knot in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. As a wedding gift, Prince Harry gave Meghan Markle an emerald-cut aquamarine ring which belonged to his late mother, Princess Diana of Wales. Celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra, Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, David Beckham and his wife Victoria, Elton John, George Clooney were in attendance at the wedding.
