The much-anticipated film Love and War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is reportedly undergoing a few crucial scene reshoots. This decision by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has not only delayed the film's release but also significantly increased its budget, as per IANS. The movie was expected to hit cinemas by August this year, but is believed to have been indefinitely delayed due to these changes.

Why 'Love and War's release has been delayed
A source close to the production had told Pinkvilla earlier that one of the main reasons for the delay is the scale of Love and War. The film reportedly has large-scale aerial action sequences that require extensive visual effects. Given their complexity, VFX work on these scenes is likely to be time-consuming. Known to chase perfection, Bhansali has now ordered reshoots, further delaying things.

When will 'Love and War' be released?
During an Instagram live session, Kapoor confirmed that Love and War has been delayed. He said the film will be released after Ramayana Part One, which is set to release in October. Meanwhile, Bhatt had earlier expressed her excitement about the movie in an interview with News18 Showsha. She said she was looking forward to seeing Bhansali and Kapoor collaborate again after so many years.

Bhatt also spoke about her reunion with Kaushal in Love and War (after Raazi). She said, "Vicky and I coming together again; Ranbir and Vicky created magic with Sanju. So, it is a lot of combinations." The film's release date remains unknown for now as the production team works on perfecting these crucial scenes.
