Filmmaker Luv Ranjan's wedding: Actors Ranbir, Shraddha, Kartik reach Agra
Director-producer Luv Ranjan is set to become the latest Bollywood celebrity to get hitched. While reports of the filmmaker taking the plunge this month were doing the rounds, we didn't have much information about who the bride is until now. But now, reports suggest the Pyaar Ka Punchnama-helmer will tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend Alisha Vaid in Agra on Sunday (February 20).
According to a Pinkvilla report, Vaid and Ranjan met during their college days. Although the timeline of their courtship is not clear, it is being said that their "common interest in arts" got them closer. The couple is not known to make many public appearances together but earlier last week, actor Ranbir Kapoor was spotted dropping them at popular designer Manish Malhotra's residence.
Given the couple's visit to the designer's abode just last week, it is safe to assume they will be donning Manish Malhotra outfits for their big day. Reportedly, the pre-wedding festivities began on Friday and the guests have also started arriving in Agra for the nuptials. Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, who are starring in Ranjan's untitled next, were earlier spotted in Agra, too.
The high-profile guestlist includes actors Arjun Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Varun Sharma; music composer Pritam; and producer Dinesh Vijan. Actors from Ranjan's Pyaar Ka Punchnama universe—Sonnalli Seygall, Sunny Singh, and Ishita Raj—have also reportedly touched down in Agra. However, actor Nushrratt Bharuccha seems to be skipping the event. To note, Bharuccha and Ranjan were speculated to be dating during Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety's shoot.
While we wait for more details, the De De Pyaar De producer's wedding comes just a day after Toofaan star Farhan Akhtar exchanged vows with his girlfriend, actor-model Shibani Dandekar, in Khandala. And, before Akhtar-Dandekar's wedding, Love Hostel star Vikrant Massey tied the knot with actor Sheetal Thakur on Friday after having a court marriage on Valentine's Day. It's the wedding season in Bollywood!
