Police may drop drug case against Shine Tom Chacko
Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko might soon be off the hook in his recent drug case.
Kochi's anti-narcotics team is thinking of closing the file after lab tests found no traces of drugs in his hair or nails, suggesting he hadn't used anything recently.
This also makes it tougher for police to press conspiracy charges.
What actually happened?
Chacko was involved in a hotel raid incident in April this year, where Chacko was caught on CCTV jumping from a second floor into a pool and running off.
During questioning, Chacko admitted to using cannabis and meth before, and said he'd paid ₹20,000 to a dealer—but both he and Murshad got bail.
Meanwhile, actor Vincy Aloshious has now withdrawn her complaint about Chacko's alleged bad behavior on set.
The police are planning to check with legal experts before officially closing the case.
