Punjabi singer-rapper Badshah, who has won our hearts with several chartbuster numbers, is all set to add another feather to his cap.
The Heartless singer will soon be making his acting debut opposite Sonakshi Sinha in a yet-to-be-titled project.
While his fans are excited to watch him on the silver screen, Badshah admitted that he's nervous about exploring this new territory.

Badshah's debut role is similar to his real life personality
According to media reports, Badshah will be playing the role of a singer in the movie, who has his roots in Punjab.
Interestingly, his reel character will be quite similar to his real self making it even more special for Badshah.
The singer is all praises for the story and said, "It's a unique film which brings a smile to my face".

Bhushan Kumar, Mrighdeep Lamba convinced Badshah to take up acting
Talking about his debut, Badshah stated that while he was apprehensive about taking up acting, it was producer Bhushan Kumar who convinced him for the role.
"I am extremely nervous however I have taken the leap. Bhushanji and Mrigh (Mrighdeep Lamba) kept convincing me on how perfect the role is for me. The added advantage is working with a super talented bunch," he added.

Meanwhile, Bhushan is delighted to have Badshah on board
Meanwhile, T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar is excited to rope in Badshah for the movie and called him the perfect choice for the role.
Bhushan had collaborated with Badshah for several songs earlier and is impressed with his jovial personality.
"When I read the script and the character sketch, the only person who came to my mind was Badshah," Bhushan was quoted saying.
Release
Badshah's debut movie to release in August this year
Reportedly, the yet-to-be-titled movie is being helmed by debutant director Shilpi Dasgupta and has gone on the floors on January 25.
Apart from Badshah and Sonakshi, the movie will also star Varun Sharma, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Nadira Babbar and Annu Kapoor in key roles.
Badshah's debut movie is expected to release on August 2 this year.
