While clarifying about him not having dementia, Randhir told ETimes, "Aisa kuch nahi hua (Nothing like that). Not at all. I am perfectly fine. I just had COVID-19 sometime ago (in April 2021)." When asked why Ranbir said it at all, the senior Kapoor (75) said, "Ranbir ki marzi (it is Ranbir's choice); he is entitled to say what he wants."
In his interview, Ranbir also mentioned that after watching Sharmaji Namkeen, Randhir told him, "Tell dad that he is amazing, and where is he, let's call him," but the latter refuses saying that as well.
