The Lok Sabha Elections are around the corner and Congress is trying every possible strategy to get desirable results in the polls.
Amid the preparations, the political circles are abuzz that Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar is likely to join Congress later this week.

Urmila to meet Rahul Gandhi soon, before making official announcement
The reports further suggested that Urmila was approached by Congress to contest for the seat as many leaders refused to be in the fray.
Reportedly, she met former city Congress chief Sanjay Nirupam yesterday regarding her entry to politics.
She is also likely to meet Congress President Rahul Gandhi in a couple of days before making the official announcement.
Urmila to compete against BJP MP Gopal Shetty
Although there hasn't been any official announcement about Urmila's entry in politics, if gossip mongers are to be believed, her name is at "an advanced stage of consideration by the party leadership."
If the media reports turn out to be true, she will be competing against Bharatiya Janata Party MP Gopal Shetty for the constituency, which was once said to be BJP's bastion.
Former 'Bigg Boss' contestants Shilpa Shinde, Arshi Khan join Congress
Meanwhile, Urmila will not be the first B-town celebrity, who will be entering politics with Congress this year.
Earlier, Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde had also joined Congress with the intention to "do something for the people."
Besides, Arshi Khan, former BB11 contestant, had also joined the political party this month.
Haryanvi singer Sapna Choudhary is also rumored to be joining Congress.
