For the uninitiated, Shilpa made her debut on television in 1999. However, she got her share of fame with & TV's popular sitcom Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain. Her performance as Angoori Bhabhi was loved by the audience. Notably, her exit from the show was quite controversial and made her the talk of the town. Shilpa was eventually replaced by Shubhangi Atre.
Post her stint on the reality show Bigg Boss 11, Shilpa was missing from the small screen. Though she was offered several shows, she turned down all of them. Apparently, politics was on Shilpa's mind for a long time. "What has attracted Shilpa Shinde to politics might be her desire to do something for the people," a source reportedly told Spotboye.
Last month, Shilpa exited Twitter, calling social media "a brutal place." "Social media is for socializing, for expressing views, but people want to know everything. Social media is a brutal place. I feel social media isn't for me," Shilpa wrote in her last tweet. But now that she has joined politics, and social media has become imperative to it nowadays, will she join back?
