Hollywood director Ruben Fleischer, who helmed the popular Zombieland films, has hinted at a possible third installment. Speaking to Deadline, he revealed that they are starting to talk about Zombieland 3, and he hopes to release it by 2029. "We're starting to talk about that because [the first] one was 2009, and then we did the second one in 2019, and we kind of left that all saying 'we'll see you in 10 years...that's coming up now," he said.

Fleischer also mentioned that he has "a few things that are raring to go," which could delay the production of Zombieland 3. He said, "We're starting to figure that out, so I'm hoping that'll come together." The first Zombieland movie was released in 2009 and starred Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin. Its sequel, Zombieland: Double Tap, came out in 2019 with the same cast.
