The music director duo of the Hindi music industry, Sajid Khan and Wajid Khan, are two brothers famous for Bollywood and Sufi music. Sajid studied at the Academy of Asiatic Cinema and Television and was encouraged by his parents to start as a solo artist. Initially, Sajid directed music under his name. Later, he encouraged Wajid to take up music, and they began working as a duo in the industry. In 1998, they directed music for Salman Khan's movie 'Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya'. In the following year, they scored music for Sonu Nigam's album 'Deewana'. Sajid-Wajid's most successful professional collaboration was with Salman Khan. Later, they directed music for many hit movies. They also appeared as judges in the singing reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstars' and 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ (2012). They have also worked as lyricists in the industry. In 2020, the duo became incomplete after the death of Wajid due to multiple health complications. Sajid is working as a solo artist but uses the title of Sajid-Wajid.
