Certification update

Trailer of 'Maatrubhumi' has been cleared by CBFC

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the four-minute and 43-second-long trailer of Maatrubhumi, giving it a U/A 16+ certificate.

A source said, "While an official announcement is awaited, preparations are underway to bring the film to cinemas on that date."

Another possible release date being considered is December 11.

Distribution details

Jio Studios will distribute the film

The source also added, "For Salman Khan, an event release date is not important."

"He is one of those rare superstars who can turn any Friday into an event."

Meanwhile, Jio Studios will handle the distribution of Maatrubhumi across India.

The film, previously titled Battle of Galwan, is based on the 2020 India-China conflict and has run into trouble over its content as diplomatic relations between the two countries improve.
