A viral photo of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's meeting with former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has taken the internet by storm. Also, there are no details available about what Dutt and Musharraf discussed during their meeting. To note, Musharraf left for the UAE in 2016 for medical treatment and has since not returned to Pakistan where he faces multiple high-profile cases. Meanwhile, many netizens have criticized Dutt—with some calling him "shameless"—for meeting Musharraf, who was Pakistan's army chief during the 1999 Kargil War with India.
Many users on Twitter expressed disappointment over Dutt's picture with Musharraf with a user noting that one should not make any mistake "that invites controversy and puts you in big trouble," referring to the actor. Meanwhile, another user wondered if the Indian security agencies knew "what the whole meeting was about" and demanded Dutt be removed as the brand ambassador of Arunachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, on the acting front, Dutt has a long lineup of films in the pipeline and one of them is the magnum opus KGF: Chapter 2. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the action-packed entertainer has Yash as the protagonist, while Dutt will play the main antagonist, named Adheera. A sequel to KGF: Chapter 1 (2018), the pan-Indian film is set to hit theaters this April.
Dutt will also be seen playing a pivotal role in the upcoming Bollywood film Prithviraj, which is based on the legendary warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan. The film revolves around the First Battle of Tarain, in which the emperor fought the Muhammad of Ghor. Helmed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the movie is reportedly slated to hit the big screens on June 3, 2022.
A few weeks back, Dutt shared a photo online to announce he had joined the sets of his upcoming Hindi film Ghudchadhi, directed by Binoy Gandhi. On Wednesday, he posted another picture on social media to inform fans he had wrapped up the first schedule of the movie. Moreover, he has a film with Ranbir Kapoor and Vani Kapoor, titled Shamshera, in the pipeline.
