'Social media, online gaming': Sonu Sood calls for age limit
Actor Sonu Sood is urging a ban on online gaming and social media for anyone under 16, except for schoolwork.
His call comes after three young sisters in Ghaziabad died by suicide, reportedly due to being hooked on an online game.
"Social media and online gaming must be restricted for children under 16, except for education," he posted.
Kids need real connection with family more than screen time
In a video, Sood emphasized that kids need real connection with family more than screen time.
"Unhe screen nahi, humara saath chahiye," he shared, pointing to the unseen pressure of digital addiction as a major factor in the tragedy.
He's been vocal before about tackling these issues.
Deaths linked to obsession with online game
Three sisters, aged 16, 14 and 12, died by suicide after jumping from their ninth-floor apartment.
Police said the deaths were linked to an intense obsession with a Korean-themed online game.
The girls were reportedly irregular in attending school.
