    Tribute video honoring Pulwama martyrs to feature SRK, Big B

    What's the story

    Shah Rukh Khan joined the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, for a special song titled Tu Desh Mera to pay tribute to the soldiers martyred in the February 14 Pulwama attack.

    According to reports, SRK has already shot his segment of the song.

    The video will also feature 10 other Bollywood celebrities, all of whom have filmed their portions separately.

    Backstory: 40 Indian soldiers were killed in the Pulwama attack

    To recall, a CRPF convoy was attacked on the Jammu-Srinagar highway on February 14. The terrorist, Adil Ahmad Dar, rammed his explosive-laden car into one of the buses, triggering an intense blast. As a result, 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives in the attack.

    SRK shot his portion in Mumbai's Mehboob Studios

    Honoring the martyrs, this four-minute-long video is being made, for which SRK shot his portion in Mumbai's Mehboob Studios.

    Expressing his gratitude towards the superstar for taking out time, Abhishek Mishra, MD of Happy Productions India said, "To say that we were excited by the prospect of Shah Rukh Khan joining us for the video is an understatement. We are grateful to him."

    "Shah Rukh Khan was travelling that week and was quite busy. We are grateful that he took out the time to shoot for the video. We shot Shah Rukh's part of the video at the Mehboob Studios in Mumbai after midnight," Mishra further informed.

    'Tu Desh Mera' teaser to be released on Independence Day

    Meanwhile, a production team member said that SRK "told us that he was glad to be a part of this."

    When asked about the video's release date, he revealed, "We're still figuring out the launch dates. However, we'll release the song's teaser on Independence Day."

    The song, composed by Meet Bros, features the voices of Javed Ali, Shabab Sabri, Kabir Singh and Jubin Nautiyal.
