What's the story

The Bombay High Court received an email threatening possible attacks on the court premises, Mahalaxmi Racecourse, and Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan's Jalsa bungalow. As per CNN-News18, police conducted searches at all three locations but found nothing suspicious. The investigation is currently underway to trace the source of the email.

Statewide threat

Similar threats to several courts across Maharashtra

Emails threatening bomb blasts were also sent to several district and sessions courts across Maharashtra on Monday.

Police immediately began searching the locations named in the email, but similar to Friday's incident, nothing was found.

The searches were conducted by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), which thoroughly investigated the premises.

Safety

Bachchan installs bulletproof glass for safety

Every Sunday evening, for decades, Amitabh Bachchan has stepped outside his Mumbai home to greet the hundreds of fans gathered there.

On November 1, the 84-year-old kept up the ritual, but this time behind a transparent bulletproof glass enclosure around the platform.

This comes after Tiger Shroff was shot at in October. While the actor was unharmed, his driver and a vlogger were injured.
