Tripti Bhoir steps into Bollywood with 'Paro'
Entertainment
Tripti Bhoir, known for her work behind the scenes, is making her Hindi film acting debut in "Paro" alongside Taha Shah Badussha.
The film tackles the tough topic of bride slavery, and Bhoir says she felt a responsibility to tell this story, hoping to use cinema to spark real conversations about social change.
Using film and activism to empower women
Beyond acting, Bhoir runs the Shelter Foundation, helping over 5,000 tribal women share their crafts worldwide and creating jobs through home-based work.
She's also set to speak at TEDx Manhattan Beach about women's issues.
As she puts it: "Paro is my way of saying—let's stop pretending we don't see this."
