What's the story

Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer of its upcoming series, titled Unpaused: Naya Safar. An extension to their 2020 edition, Unpaused, the sequel consists of five short films, each of which narrates interesting stories of the protagonists during the pandemic. To recall, Raj & DK, Nitya Mehra, Nikkhil Advani, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Avinash Arun had directed the five short segments of Unpaused.

Trailer keeps you hooked till the end

The 1:56-minute-long trailer starts with a message of finding a silver lining amid challenging times. Slowly the characters from each film and their unique stories are shown. Saqib Saleem's deep voice adds a separate punch to the clip. The stories of friendship, love, ambition, and forgiveness have the ability to bring a smile to your face. The ensemble cast is an add-on, too.

Know about the five stories of this anthology

Nupur Asthana-helmed The Couple stars Shreya Dhanwanthary and Priyanshu Painyuli, while Saleem and Ashish Verma lead Teen Tigada, a Ruchir Arun-directorial. The third one is Shikha Makan-directed Gond Ke Laddu. It has Neena Kulkarni and Darshana Rajendran. War Room and Nagraj Manjule-created Vaikunth, led by Arun Karche and Hanumant Bhandari, complete the slate. Ayappa KM helmed War Room stars Geetanjali Kulkarni and Rasika Aghashe.

Makan and Manjule elaborated more on their portions

Talking to media, Makan said her portion narrates how "we look for means to connect with loved ones from distance." "And sometimes we find connections with strangers too. The idea of Gond Ke Laddu was to showcase the spectrum of human bonds, but with a twist." Meanwhile, Manjule says Vaikunth adds to a range of emotions with a balance of gloom, hope, and unpredictability.

'War Room' will showcase the pain of frontline workers

"War Room showcases the vulnerability of frontline workers who encountered unfavorable situations during the outbreak of the pandemic," said Ayappa of his film. Further, The Couple will display "the emotional upheaval and complexities" caused by layoffs, and Teen Tigada highlights "the threshold of human emotions, amidst the tribulations of an ongoing pandemic which hit us like a storm." The series streams from January 21.
