Wayanad landslides: Allu Arjun donates ₹25L to Kerala Relief Fund
Tollywood actor Allu Arjun has contributed ₹25 lakh to the Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund. This donation is intended to support rehabilitation efforts following the devastating landslides in Wayanad, Kerala. Expressing his feelings on X, Arjun stated, "I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad. Kerala has always given me so much love, and I want to do my bit by donating ₹25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund."
Other celebrities join Arjun in supporting Kerala relief efforts
Arjun's contribution is part of a larger wave of support from celebrities for the disaster relief efforts. Actor Nayanthara and her husband-director Vignesh Shivan each donated ₹20 lakh to the relief fund. Additionally, well-known Tamil actors Suriya and Vikram, along with Malayalam film icons Mohanlal, Mammootty, Tovino Thomas, and Fahadh Faasil have also made contributions to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. Chiranjeevi and his son-actor Ram Charan have donated ₹1 crore.

Superstar Mammootty and his son-actor Dulquer Salmaan have jointly donated ₹35 lakh to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. In addition to their monetary contribution, Mammootty's charitable trust has dispatched a convoy carrying essential supplies such as food items, medicines, and clothes for the survivors. Speaking to the media, Mammootty expressed his readiness to provide further support, if needed.
Superstar Mohanlal has pledged ₹3 crore
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has also stepped forward to aid the relief efforts. On Saturday, he pledged ₹3 crore through his Viswasanthi Foundation for immediate relief and rebuilding efforts. He said in a statement, "The army, the navy, the air force, the NDRF, the Fire and Rescue, the other organisations, locals etc who all are part of the rescue operations have done a wonderful job."
