When Vivek Oberoi got real-life threats while filming abroad

Vivek Oberoi just shared that he once got death threats from a Pakistan-based gang while shooting Kurbaan in the US back in 2009.
The situation was intense enough that, after being advised by hotel staff, Oberoi called the police, and investigators traced the call all the way to Pakistan.
Concerned for his safety, Oberoi had to turn to American law enforcement for help.

Family at risk, but career moves on

Things got even more serious when Oberoi found out his family in India could be targeted too, so he arranged police protection at home.
