#ComicBytes: Five villains Avengers could take on after ThanosLast updated on Jan 08, 2019, 12:13 am
The Avengers are one of the world's most powerful superheroes groups in the Marvel Universe.
They will be taking on Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. However, since defeat of Thanos is assured, the superhero group will need a new enemy.
While we know Avengers will not return to MCU for some time, here are five villains we hope to see the Avengers fight.
Doctor Doom: Force fields, sorcery and wealth make him dangerous
Doctor Doom has already been introduced in the Fantastic Four movie, but the film and character tanked.
We hope Marvel does justice to one of its most iconic super villains.
With force field generating armor, sorcery and the entire wealth of Latveria, Doom is not only incredibly powerful but also resourceful.
He has often given the Avengers a really tough time in the comics.
Galactus: Worthy opponent for Avengers after they defeat Thanos
Galactus too was introduced in the Marvel Universe in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. However, the portrayal was pretty inaccurate.
However, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a pro at portraying such characters: remember Dormammu from Doctor Strange?
With almost unlimited powers, Galactus would be a worthy opponent for the Avengers to take on after their victory over the mad Titan Thanos.
Green Goblin is one of Spider-Man's arch nemesis
Norman Osborne or Green Goblin is one of Spider-Man's arch nemesis.
However, the influence and intellect of Osborne coupled with his glider and pumpkin bombs could make him the central villain for the Marvel's Avengers.
Notably, Osborne had at one time been the leader of the Dark Avengers in the comics, so his skills as a fighter and attacking strategies are beyond question.
Taskmaster: A villain who can study all your moves
Let's be clear, Taskmaster could never be a central villain. However, he could be the hired assassin that gives Avengers trouble in a battle.
Considered to be one of Marvel's best assassins, he can study anyone's moves and immediately replicate them.
In battle, he could study all the Marvel heroes and replicate their moves. Also a master tactician, Taskmaster is truly a fearsome opponent.
Sinister Six: Team showdowns comic fans live for
We saved this for last as this is a team of villains. It comprises of Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion, Mysterio among others.
Marvel has already introduced a few of these villains and Mysterio will appear in the upcoming Spider-Man movie.
We hope to see the Sinister Six gang up on Spidey and him calling his Avenger buddies for a hero versus villain team battle on-screen!
