69 bullets fired in revenge murder of dairy businessman
In Delhi's Aya Nagar, 52-year-old dairy businessman Ratan Lohia was killed outside his home on November 30.
He was ambushed by a group in a black Nissan Magnite with no plates, who fired 72 shots—69 bullets struck him, killing him instantly.
The attack happened as he was leaving for work.
What investigators have found so far
Police collected dozens of shell casings and tracked the getaway car through CCTV and believe the shooters arrived from Faridabad and fled toward Fatehpur Beri, where it was abandoned.
The murder appears to be revenge for the killing of Arun Lohia earlier this year—a crime linked to Ratan's son Deepak and an ongoing property feud.
No arrests yet, but police believe up to a dozen people were involved, including five shooters, and are investigating links to gangsters and overseas contract killers.
Ratan had reportedly received threats for years before the attack.
