Ahmedabad woman tries to rob jewelry shop using chili powder

A woman in Ahmedabad's Ranip area tried to rob a jewelry shop by tossing red chili powder at the owner, hoping to blind him and carry out the robbery.
But her plan fizzled—the powder missed, and the shop owner quickly jumped over the counter and slapped her repeatedly before throwing her out.
The whole scene was captured on CCTV and has since gone viral online.

Police are investigating the woman

Even though the dramatic footage is everywhere, the jeweler has chosen not to file a formal complaint against the woman. Still, police are investigating using the CCTV video.
Police, led by Inspector Ketan Vyas, are working to identify and track down the woman and are investigating if she might be linked to similar incidents nearby.
