An Air India flight from San Francisco to Mumbai had to pause its journey in Kolkata after a technical snag hit the left engine.
The plane landed safely and on time, but couldn't continue as planned.
Passengers deboarded as aircraft fixed
The flight, set to leave for Mumbai at 2am was held back for checks.
Around 5:20am passengers were asked to get off the plane—something the captain said was all about keeping everyone safe.
The aircraft is now being fixed at Kolkata airport.
Breakfast, hotel stay for stranded passengers
While waiting, all 224 travelers got breakfast and were either put up in hotels or rebooked on other flights.
Air India's quick response showed they were focused on passenger safety and comfort during the hiccup.
