Air India SATS executives party amidst crash grief
A video of senior Air India SATS (AISATS) execs dancing at a Gurugram office party has gone viral—just days after the deadly Flight AI171 crash in Ahmedabad that took 274 lives.
Many online are calling out the timing as insensitive, especially since families are still waiting for all victims' remains.
Bodies of all 220 passengers not yet returned
The clip shows top AISATS officials, including COO Abraham Zakaria and General Manager of Bengaluru International Airport Limited, Sampreet Kotian, celebrating while only 202 out of 220 bodies had been returned to families.
Since AISATS handled ground operations for the crashed flight, people feel their celebration was poorly timed.
'Should show more sensitivity...': netizens
AISATS apologized, saying the video was "completely out of context" and didn't mean to cause distress.
Still, public anger hasn't faded, with many feeling that those managing such tragedies should show more sensitivity during tough times.
