Air India starts ₹25 lakh compensation disbursement

Air India has started giving ₹25 lakh as interim compensation to families who lost loved ones in the recent Ahmedabad plane crash. This is on top of the ₹1 crore support already announced by Tata Sons.
So far, three families have received the payment after the tragedy, which claimed 270 lives—including passengers and ground staff—from flight A1171.

DNA tests have helped identify 247 victims, with 232 bodies returned to their families so far.
