Andhra minister discovers cockroach in meal, suspends warden

During a surprise check at a Visakhapatnam hostel, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha found a cockroach in her food—right on camera.
The visit was meant to check how students are living, but instead highlighted some serious gaps in hostel management.

Minister orders warden's suspension

Anitha also noticed the hostel didn't have CCTV cameras and that the warden had left four hours before her shift ended.
She called out the poor quality of rice served to students and ordered the warden's suspension.
Now, all hostels in the district must install CCTV and face regular inspections to keep things safe for students.
