Andhra Pradesh funds ₹221.67cr for 12 AYUSH and allopathic projects
Andhra Pradesh is putting ₹221.67 crore into 12 new health care projects to upgrade medical facilities across the state.
Announced by Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, this move covers both traditional (AYUSH) and allopathic health care, aiming to make quality treatment more accessible for everyone.
Unani Ayurveda medical colleges ₹49cr each
The plan includes six new 50-bed AYUSH hospitals in towns like Tekkali, Rampachodavaram, and Tirupati district.
There's also a Government Unani Medical College coming up in Proddatur and a Government Ayurveda Medical College in Dharmavaram, each worth ₹49 crore.
Existing hospitals aren't left out: Visakhapatnam's VIMS campus will get upgraded facilities, Chintur's health center will double its beds, and Kakinada Government General Hospital (GGH) is set for a brand-new OPD building.
The goal? More modern care options closer to home for people across Andhra Pradesh.
