Army chief explains 'Dharamyudh' principle during Operation Sindoor

India

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi shared that Indian forces stuck to the "Dharamyudh" (righteous war) principle during Operation Sindoor, which was carried out in response to the terror attack on civilians in Pahalgam, Kashmir earlier this year.
He emphasized that only terrorist hideouts were targeted—civilians and military assets were left untouched.

Operation Sindoor was India's answer to Pahalgam terror attack

Operation Sindoor was India's answer to the April 2025 Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 civilians lost their lives.
The operation focused on precise strikes against terrorist bases in Pakistan, showing India's shift toward targeted responses rather than seeking territory.

General Dwivedi praises RMS Chail's legacy

General Dwivedi spoke at Rashtriya Military School (RMS), Chail's centenary celebration—the oldest Defence Ministry school, founded back in 1925.
He praised its legacy of shaping military leaders and encouraged cadets to keep up the spirit.
The event also saw a new Centenary Gate unveiled and special awards handed out.

General Dwivedi warns Pakistan of stronger response next time

General Dwivedi didn't mince words—he warned Pakistan that any further support for terrorism would meet with a stronger response from India next time, without the restraint shown during Operation Sindoor.
