Assam: Speeding vehicle kills 2 students, injures another

A heartbreaking accident in Assam's Hajo area took the lives of two Gyanjyoti National School students on Saturday.
Adnin Neha and Nazmin Akhtara were hit from behind by a speeding Bolero while on their way to tuition; Neha died instantly, and Akhtara passed away en route to the hospital.
Their friend Sahin Akhtara is still fighting for her life in Guwahati Medical College.

Community response and investigation

Police are trying to figure out if reckless driving or a technical fault caused the crash, and they're working to identify who was behind the wheel.
Locals, upset over the tragedy, stopped and set fire to the vehicle involved—emergency teams managed to put it out with police help.
The protest calmed after officials promised action against those responsible.
