Ayodhya to light over 26L diyas for Deepotsav 2025

Ayodhya is all set for a record-breaking Deepotsav this year, planning to light over 26 lakh earthen lamps along Ram Ki Paidi and 56 ghats.
Held under the leadership of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the event celebrates Lord Ram's return from exile and aims to grab a spot in the Guinness World Records.

Community effort

Deepotsav isn't just about numbers—it's a huge community effort with thousands of volunteers carefully arranging diyas to show unity and keep traditions alive.
To keep things fair, every participant gets a QR code and stewards check each zone so only properly lit lamps count.
With Guinness officials on site, Ayodhya hopes this glowing celebration will reinforce its identity as a global center for spirituality and tourism.
