Bangladeshi smugglers attack BSF, 1 fatality reported

An afternoon clash broke out near the Halderpara outpost in West Bengal's Nadia district when BSF personnel tried to stop a group of Bangladeshi smugglers sneaking gold into India.
Despite warnings, the smugglers crossed over and attacked a BSF jawan with sharp weapons, leaving him injured.
