Banks across India closed today for 4th Saturday observance

Banks across India are taking the day off today since it's the fourth Saturday, so if you were planning to visit a branch, you'll have to wait.

The Reserve Bank of India requires all banks to stay closed on second and fourth Saturdays, plus every Sunday.

August 25 holiday affects Kochi Thiruvananthapuram

The next bank holiday is August 25, but it only affects Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram (First Onam and Milad-i-Sherif).

For everyone else, just Sundays are off this month.

Don't worry, ATMs, online banking, and mobile apps are still running if you need quick access or transfers.
