Bengaluru: Seventh suspect nabbed in ₹7.11cr cash van heist

India

Bengaluru Police have caught the seventh person linked to a dramatic cash van robbery on November 19, where a gang pretending to be RBI and tax officials stopped a CMS Info Systems van near Ashoka Pillar and made off with ₹7.11 crore in broad daylight.
The latest arrest happened late Saturday night, tightening the net around those involved.

How the heist went down—and what's next

The gang blocked the van with a Toyota Innova, forced out staff at gunpoint, and drove away to loot the cash under Dairy Circle flyover.
They tried to cover their tracks by switching languages, avoiding phones, and constantly changing number plates.
So far, seven suspects—including a police constable and ex-CMS employees—are in custody; police have recovered ₹6.2 crore and one getaway car but are still searching for more missing money and other members of this well-planned crew.
