Bengaluru software engineer dies after ambulance delay

India

A 33-year-old software engineer, Anand GR, lost his life in a late-night bike accident near Yelahanka on November 26.
After crashing into an electrical box and suffering serious head injuries, Anand was left waiting when the ambulance got stuck under a magic box underpass for about 10 minutes.
His friend Jeevan, who was also hurt, managed to flag down a car and rush him to the hospital—but Anand was declared dead on arrival.
Police said the ambulance delay cost precious time that could have saved him.

Police investigate accident and response time; separate bus crash injures 23

Police have launched an investigation into both the accident and why emergency help was delayed.
The incident has sparked fresh concerns about road safety and emergency response in Bengaluru.
In a separate case just a day later, a KSRTC bus collided with another vehicle, injuring 23 people—six had leg fractures.
The bus driver now faces charges for rash driving, adding to calls for better road safety measures across the city.
