Bengaluru: Three men arrested for blackmail, gang-rape of 19-year-old student

A 19-year-old college student in Bengaluru was allegedly secretly filmed during a private moment by her boyfriend, who later showed the video to his friends.
Using this footage to threaten her, all three men reportedly gang-raped her in October 2025 in Magadi taluk.
The accused are Vikas (25), Prashant (19), and Chetan (28).

What happened next

After the accused sent the video to her on Instagram and it was later circulated online, she told her family, who then went to the police on December 17.
Authorities quickly arrested all three men and seized their phones for investigation.
The case has been filed under serious sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to rape and repeat offenses, and police are continuing their probe.
