BESCOM to issue average bills for October: Here's why

BESCOM is temporarily changing how your October electricity bill is calculated while they roll out a big software upgrade.
Instead of the usual meter reading, your bill for the first half of October (covering September's usage) will be based on your average consumption from June to August 2025.

What about my Gruha Jyothi benefits?

No need to stress—your Gruha Jyothi scheme benefits are safe and will be credited automatically.
You can still pay bills as usual through the BESCOM Mitra app, UPI apps, or at local offices.
If anything seems off or you have questions, customer service is there to help—or you can wait until the new system is fully live in mid-October for updated info.
