Delegates and journalists will find these treats in their welcome kits, as India aims to showcase its culinary heritage on an international stage.
CM Samrat Choudhary thanks PM Modi
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary thanked PM Modi for platforming Bihar's products and highlighted sattu and makhana as symbols of Bihar's food traditions, enterprise and the aspirations to take local products to global consumers.
Makhana, particularly associated with the Mithila region, got its own geographical indication tag in 2022.
Patna-based agriculture entrepreneur Abhishek Kumar said this inclusion highlights rural food heritage and emerging commercial potential.
