As a precautionary measure, police and bomb-detection dog squads searched the school premises. Parents were informed about the situation through notices requesting them to collect their children from school. One such notice read, "This is to inform you that due to some inconvenience, we have to vacate the Vidhyalaya premises. We request you to collect your child as soon as possible."
Ongoing investigation
Threats linked to Khalistan sympathizers, investigation underway
TOI sources indicate that authorities suspect the involvement of Khalistan sympathizers in these threats. However, no formal statement has been released by officials confirming this suspicion. The incident comes on the heels of similar hoax threats reported in Amritsar and Delhi recently. On December 12, several schools in Amritsar received bomb threat emails which were later confirmed as hoaxes after anti-sabotage checks by local authorities.
Previous incidents
Delhi schools targeted with bomb threats earlier this month
Earlier this month, on December 10, two schools in Delhi received bomb threats. Sanskriti School also received an email mentioning the Khalistan movement and threatening a blast later that day. The message read: "Aaj 12:05pm Bomb Blast Hove Ga? Jhoote Police Muqabale Khalistan Referendum Walian De In Punjab: Khalistan De Movement nu Delhi 2UN Tak Laye." In all cases, schools issued advisories to parents and authorities conducted security sweeps treating the threats seriously despite some being hoaxes.
