The Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah in Ajmer, Rajasthan, received a bomb threat via email on Thursday ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to New Delhi. The email, which was sent to the Collectorate, warned of an imminent explosion at the dargah and the Collectorate. It specifically mentioned that RDX and IEDs had been planted at multiple locations, including the dargah.

Security measures intensified following bomb threat
In response to the threat, security agencies have gone on high alert. The Ajmer police evacuated the dargah premises immediately after receiving the email. A thorough search operation is now underway with metal detectors and dog squads being used by police and intelligence teams. Employees in departments within the Collectorate complex were also evacuated as a precautionary measure.
