BrahMos missiles roll out of UP's Lucknow

India

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath just flagged off the very first batch of BrahMos missiles from Lucknow's new BrahMos Aerospace facility.
It's a big moment for the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC) and India's plan to make more defense tech at home.
The Sarojini Nagar plant, opened in May 2025, is packed with modern tech for building and testing these high-speed missiles.

This isn't just about new missiles

This isn't just about new missiles—it could boost local jobs and shows how serious India is about making its own defense equipment under the Make in India push.
After final tests, these BrahMos missiles will join the Indian armed forces lineup.
The launch event drew several top leaders, highlighting how important this project is for both regional growth and national security.
