Breakthrough in sustainable aviation: First electric plane flight
Beta Technologies just pulled off a milestone—its Alia CX300 became the first all-electric aircraft to carry passengers.
The flight went from East Hampton to JFK Airport, covering 130km and using only ₹694 ($8) worth of electricity, which is way cheaper than the usual helicopter fuel cost.
Plus, the ride was super quiet and smooth.
TL;DR
Alia CX300 can travel up to 463km on 1 charge
The Alia CX300 can travel up to 463km on one charge and could get FAA approval by year-end.
Beta isn't stopping there—they're also working on the Alia 250 eVTOL, designed for urban travel with zero emissions.
If all goes well, flying around cities might soon be cleaner, quieter, and a lot more affordable.
