Bullet train to traverse 7 Rajasthan districts on 657-KM route
A new high-speed bullet train will soon link Delhi and Ahmedabad, zipping across 886km—most of it (75%) through Rajasthan.
Seven districts, including Jaipur, Udaipur, and Ajmer, are getting connected with nine stations along the way.
This is set to make travel way quicker for everyone in the region.
Construction is moving fast
Construction is moving fast: 300km of track is already laid on a related Mumbai-Ahmedabad route, and there's a test track coming up near Sambhar Lake.
The Delhi-Ahmedabad line will start at Dwarka Sector 21 in Delhi and follow NH-48 through Rajasthan's big cities at speeds up to 320km/h.
Travel times will drop sharply
Udaipur alone gets a 127-km stretch with cool features like bridges and tunnels.
Even though Jodhpur misses out this time, most major cities in Rajasthan will see travel times drop sharply—making trips to Delhi much easier for work or fun.
