Car blast near Red Fort linked to Kashmir-based terrorist group

India

The car explosion near Delhi's Red Fort metro station on Monday evening has been confirmed as a terrorist act by the government.
Linked to a Kashmir-based group, the attackers wanted to make an impact after Operation Sindoor but didn't have a clear plan.
The incident happened around 7pm and has sparked an intense investigation.

Investigators are tracing the suspect's movements across Delhi-NCR

Umar Nabi, considered the main suspect, allegedly convinced three other doctors to join him. He was in the car during the blast.
Investigators found nearly 3,000kg of explosives, of which over 2,000kg was ammonium nitrate, at one co-conspirator's Faridabad home and are tracing Nabi's movements across Delhi-NCR—including two cars possibly used to move explosives—as they work to uncover how this plot came together.
