CAT 2018: Results are out, here's how to check yours
What's the story
The result of CAT 2018 was announced by IIM Calcutta, a short while ago. The result will be valid until December 31, 2019. The examination was held in two sessions on November 25, 2018. The test is held for admission in the prestigious IIMs. Apart from clearing the test, the candidates will have to sit for written tests and personal interviews to secure a seat.

Follow these simple steps to check your score
Aspirants can check their results by logging into the official website: iimcat.ac.in. The homepage has a link which redirects to CAT 2018 result. Once there, you will be asked to enter your login details. After you complete this step, the results will be displayed. The result has the overall score as well as marks obtained in different sections. You can also download the result.

The normalization process was introduced this year
Notably, the CAT scores aren't just the total of marks obtained by students but the score obtained after normalization process. This process was introduced to ensure equity among students appearing for different sessions. As per CAT authorities, the normalization of scores will be done multiple times. "The scaled scores obtained by this process shall be converted into percentiles for purposes of shortlisting," CAT said.
