    CAT Result to be declared today: Here's how to check

    Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018 results will be announced today at 1pm on the official CAT website, according to a prior notification on the website. The computer-based CAT examination was organized by Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, (IIM Calcutta), which had released the notification on the website. Candidates will be able to download their score card after the result declaration. Here's more on this.

    Score card copy will be needed to apply for MBA

    A copy of the CAT score card will be required for application to MBA programs at various management institutes, which accept the CAT score as admission eligibility. 20 IIMs in India also use the CAT scores for shortlisting candidates for further rounds of selection.

    'Each IIM will send interview letters to shortlisted candidates separately'

    CAT 2018 score card will have scaled scores in each section, total score and the percentile of the candidate. The list of candidates selected for selection rounds will be published separately by the IIMs on their respective websites. The official CAT website said, "Each IIM will send interview letters to shortlisted candidates separately," adding that the criteria for shortlisting vary across IIMs.
