CBI arrests 2 ED officials in Lucknow for ₹5L bribe

Two Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials in Lucknow have been arrested by the CBI for allegedly taking a ₹5 lakh bribe.

The accused, enforcement officer Deepak Kumar and head constable Manoj Dwivedi, reportedly asked for the money from the complainant's father, who was summoned by the ED as part of an ongoing case.

Manoj Dwivedi caught collecting cash

The CBI got involved after the complainant's father received ED summonses in August and September 2026.

Dwivedi was caught red-handed while collecting the cash, supposedly on behalf of Kumar, who is now in custody.

Both are currently in custody as investigators look into this bribery scheme.
