#CBSE2019: Last-minute tips to score 90% in Class-12 Physics exam
For CBSE Class-12 science stream students, Physics is one of the core subjects. Many of them find it difficult as the subject involves vast syllabus which makes Physics one of the most-dreaded subjects. However, one can score high in Physics with proper preparation, revision, and practice. The Class-12 Physics board exam is on 5 March and here are some tips to score 90%.
Should create a fresh study plan for last-minute revision
With just 2 days left for the Physics exam, students must now be well-prepared; they should now thoroughly revise all the concepts they have studied. They must create a fresh, last-minute revision plan covering all chapters and adhere to it. They should calculate the time required to cover the entire syllabus and allot time to each chapter accordingly for revision instead of cramming blindly.
Do not learn anything new at the last minute
At the last moment, only 1-2 days before the exam, students should avoid learning anything new. This might lead to confusion and unnecessarily increase burden. Instead, students should focus on revising what they already know. Also, they shouldn't refer to new books and be thorough with concepts in NCERT textbooks. However, if they have revised NCERT books thoroughly, they can go through additional books.
Revise each and every chapter, practice numerical questions
For last-minute preparation, it is essential to revise every chapter in the syllabus thoroughly, but students should focus more on the important topics as per weightage. They should know the latest marking scheme, weightage distribution, and questioning trends of the subject and prepare/revise accordingly. Apart from revision, written practice is essential for preparation too. Students should also practice solving numerical questions in physics.
Solve at least one previous/sample paper in time-bound manner
At the last-minute, though students might not have much time, solving previous question papers, sample question papers, or taking chapter-wise quizzes and mock tests will give a boost to their preparation. This will help them test how effective their preparation is. They should solve at least one previous/sample paper in a time-bound manner to understand the pattern, questioning trends, difficulty-level, and manage time better.
#5: Note down important points for quick revision
Students use different revision techniques but it is better to revise from self-prepared notes. Revision keys are also useful at the last minute. They should note down important points as they study/revise; these short notes can be helpful for quick revision just before the exam.
