Chhath Puja's global reach , Khadi push on PM's Mann Ki Baat

On Sunday's Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared how Chhath Puja, once a local tradition from Bihar, is now celebrated worldwide.
He said efforts are on to get it listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage and encouraged everyone to choose local products like Khadi this festive season as part of #VocalForLocal.

Modi urges people to buy Swadeshi goods

Modi urged people to support Indian artisans by buying Swadeshi goods and gave a special shoutout to women officers of the Navy for their Navika Sagar Parikrama voyage.
He also praised the RSS for its century-long legacy of service and reminded everyone to keep things clean during Diwali celebrations.
